The Gadget Wall of Fame

Show the two videos above and then split the class into 5 small groups.
Task 1
Each group should pick a product below and must plan on paper a short presentation for their argument on why their project should go on the ‘Wall of Fame’, similar to the video.

Set a time limit up and get each group to present their presentation to the class.
Task 2
The students know I like my Gadgets. On A4 paper students are to design an electronic gadget of the future, one that will impress me, it should be in colour with notes. Get them to think about displays, different ways to interact with it such as sound and touch etc.
Drawing should be in 3D where possible. I am looking for detail, annotation and quality, which is rendered well using colouring pencils.
Extension work
Get them to design an advert for their gadget of the future. They can link this to what what have learnt in Drama lessons but need to produce a script if they are performing an advert.
