DIGITAL MAKERS

Digital Makers takes place as part of our school LEAP program and runs on a Wednesday after school.

Digital Makers allows students to explore a range of computer programming techniques from JavaScript and HTML emojis and animation, Arduino Programming, Microbit programming in Scatch and Python and also robotics where we use different programming languages to allow the robots to communicate with each other, race round the room, follow mazes and avoid obstacles.

We have the following Electronics and MicroController Computers available for the students to learn and play as well as online programming software to create JS animations, and games.

BBC MicroBit Computers

We have a selection of the BBC MicroBit Computers with some robotics and electronic add ons.

If you would like to come along and learn how to program these fantastic devices then pop along to Digital Makers or speak to Mr Cottle for more information

We have a set of Arduinos, electronic sensors and Displays which can be programmed to produce some text based games, flash lights and respond to inputs from various sensors.

Ozobot programmable robot

We have just purchased an Ozobot programmable robot which can be coded online or by drawing coloured lines and dots on paper or an ipad.
